Lifting of caravans and mobile homes

The lifting of caravans and mobile homes is a special task. Dimensions and lifting points are not standard. But for the lifting standard products can be used.
The servicing and maintenance of caravans and mobile homes is an intersting additional business for many garages. These volumious vehicles are often difficult to handle in a normal workshop because it is complicated to lift them. The specialist for car lifts - autop from Rheine - offers suitable lifts. These are no expensive special constructions but standard components of the autop product range.

Mobile home on an autop Masterlift Combi
autop suggests autop autop Masterlift 2.35 Combi Saav for the lifting of mobile homes. This inground lift with platforms has four pistons. With this lift it is possible to drive-on on a recessed lift with a mobile home or a special vehicle. This is a fast solution and it avoids that the individual build-up of the vehicle is damaged by a wrong lifting. And it saves time. The Masterlift lifts the vehicle and the double pistons prevent an excessive swinging of the lifted car. If an additional wheel-free lifting is necessary, swivel arms can take over in lifted position and the platforms are recessed again.

Taking-over without problems

The mechanician has a good view on the lifting points when the swivel arms take over, so it is easier and safer to do it with such a lift than lifting a mobile home with a normal swivel arm lift.  If the mobile home is lifted with swivel arms, all necessary repair and maintenance work can be done. Free access to wheels, aggregates, pipes and exhaust systems is given. Also special equipments of mobile homes, such as fresh water and sewage water systems can be reached without problems. Also body repair works are often easier done in lifted position. The autop Masterlift Combi Saav has a capacity of 3.5 t and a platform length of 4.2 m. These dimensions come up the biggest part of mobile homes, which often are constructed on transporter-basis.

Caravans can be lifted with a Masterlift Pv, which is turned by 90° and as an enlarged piston distance.
Also for the lifting of caravans autop offers a good solution, using standard components. The most difficult task when caravans are lifted is to find the right lifting points in order to avoid damages. Here autop suggests the autop Masterlift Pv, a classic twin-ram lift. For this application as caranvan lift it has been turned by 90° and the piston distance has been enlarged. So it is possible to lift the caravan on the original lifting points, the integrated bearings.

Caravans are equipped with bearings, which are now used as lifting points.

So a caravan can be lifted safe and wheel-free. Free access to the axle is given. Furthermore the caravan can be pushed on the the lift easily because the lift is installed in a recessed version. The weight of the caravan is distributed on all four lifting points optimally and all necessary work can be done at a lifted lift. Also body repair works and works at special systems such as gas systems can be done. The autop Masterlift Pv has a capacity of 3.5 t which is enough for the biggest part of caravans.

If the superstructure is recessed in the floor, the caravancs can easily be pushed on the lift.

In order to make it possible to push the caravans on the lift without a lot of power, the superstructures can be recessed in the floor.

Optimal workflow safes time

Special working bays for mobile homes, caravancs and other special vehicles need a certain kind of investment. But if a garages wants to establish an additional income it will amortize fast, because the whole workflow can be done fast and safe. This leeds to better productivity. But the service business also has to have seasonable fluctuation in mind. Inground lifts offer a lot of advantages in general. They are technically solid and have a long life if the are well maintained.  Aditionally they safe workshop space and offer a better optic if they are not in use, because they can be recessed in the floor and therefore are nearly unvisible.
